When will they believe in TCU? Will Clemson fall? And who’s the true #1 in College Football?

Seething TCU Horned Frogs on a mission

Texas Christian is a force to be reckoned with. They simply can’t be stopped. We saw big throws from Max Duggan once again this past week, throwing for 350 yards and 3 touchdowns, with all of his College Football main receivers Savion Williams, Quentin Johnston, and Taye Barber reaching the endzone on Saturday.

With history showing TCU College Football struggles against West Virginia, especially in Morgantown, I knew that wasn’t going to repeat itself, and the Horned Frogs proved me right. A big stop on the Mountaineers in the third quarter to just three points instead of seven in TCU red zone made a big difference to help them come out on top. With both sides of the field consistently showing up each week, I don’t see this team losing a game this season. Move them to the top 6 after this week when they’re at home versus Texas Tech. Eventually, people will notice.

Scary sight for Clemson

Dabo Sweeney alluded to Stephen Curry recently, saying even he has off nights where you have to put him on the bench for a bit and adding that their quarterback DJ Uiaglelei just was off rhythm making some bad plays that week against Syracuse, so a change was needed in that situation. He vouches that DJ will indeed be the starting quarterback against their upcoming opponent, the Fighting Irish. This College Football game is a scary game for me if I’m a Clemson Tigers fan. Not only did Notre Dame decimate Syracuse at their stadium this past week, winning pretty easily 41-24, but they have a College Football track record of showing up when they’re at home versus big-time opponents.

I would be worried as so if the Tigers could barely pull away, verse Syracuse, and Notre Dame did it with ease. Also, can we trust DJ at QB? Will Dabo make another mid-game adjustment to save them? While Dabo and his staff said DJ has played well this year, I’d beg to differ. None of his statistics this year are overly impressive whatsoever, for him manning the ship of the number 5 team in the country. While backup Klubnik obviously isn’t the answer, as a Tiger fan, you’ll have to hope DJ doesn’t have another fallout moment where he ends up on the sidelines again.

Who will be the true number 1?

Georgia versus Tennessee. The matchup we’ve all been waiting for. With the controversy of the Volunteers not being legit, this will be the week to prove it. Hendon Hooker does not stop. 245 yards and 3 touchdowns. The defense does not stop. Making Will Levis look like a fool throwing 3 interceptions and zero touchdowns. This team is solid, and I think they’ll beat the Bulldogs. Georgia, this previous week, while beating UF showed some weaknesses that I didn’t like. Their QB Stetson Bennett threw two interceptions verse a mediocre Gators defense keeping Florida alive in the third quarter. And yes, while Georgia’s defense stepped up in the 4th quarter and ruined Anthony Richarson’s evening, I don’t know if this defense can bail Bennett out this upcoming week. Besides them beating Oregon in the first week, I’ve yet to see Georgia battle through adversity. But I did get to witness that with Tennessee.

In fact, I called that to happen! With Hendon Hooker outperforming Bryce Young in their duel, you could easily see that again versus Stetson Bennett. Hooker is the outright better quarterback College Football , no debate. But Georgia’s College Football defense is elite until I hear they could possibly be losing their main pass rush to injury this upcoming College Football week. That would be huge. They need every defense asset they can get to slow down Hooker and the Volunteers this week. While Georgia should win this match, don’t be surprised if Tennessee pulls it off again. Don’t forget Alabama was supposed to win versus the Vols too.
