Quarterback transfers have gotten out of hand with the transfer portal and COVID allowed players to seek another year and players are going from school to school. This is a look at the top quarterback transfers in college football in no particular order.

McKenzie Milton- He led UCF and Head Coach Scott Frost to many, many wins when in Orlando. Now he takes his talents to another Florida school and will suit up for the Florida State Seminoles. He had gotten hurt and missed time for the UCF Knights. A comeback here and it is a storybook tale.

Jack Chan left Wisconsin and now is at Notre Dame. He started 18 games for the Badgers before getting hurt and must outplay Ian Book for the Fighting Irish.

Chase Brice– Left Clemson and now at Appalachian State. He was a former backup to Trevor Lawrence. He was a former starter At Duke and went 9-3.

Charlie Brewster is going to Utah and was a four-year starter at Baylor. He brings with him 9.700 passing yards and 1,039 rushing yards.  This is a great move to watch.

Alan Bowman– moves to Michigan after a decent career at Texas Tech where he threw for 5,260 yards and brings with him three years of eligibility.

Top Quarterback Transfers in College Football

Tyler Shough leaves Oregon for Texas Tech. At Oregon, he led them to the Pac-12 championship game and a bowl game.

Jack Abraham heads for Mississippi State and carries 7,067 yards from Southern Miss. Looks like he just wanted to be across the state and a higher profile team.

Bendon Hooker got away from Virginia Tech and moves to play for the Vols of Tennessee. He will have a familiar face with coach Josh Heupel.

Joe Milton on the other hand left Michigan and also headed to Tennessee. It appears a quarterback battle may take place in Knoxville.

Grant Gunnell was recruited out of high school in Texas to head to Arizona. When coach Sumlin was dumped, Grant headed for Memphis.

Anthony Russo was a three-year starter for Temple and now he is headed for coach Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines. He tossed for 6,292 yards and 22 touchdowns while at Temple.
