The Kansas City Chiefs are rolling with an 8-2 record and a four-game win streak. On Sunday night against the Chargers, Mahomes did his thing by leading his team to a 30-27 win. Postgame yesterday, Kelce and Mahomes both gave props to Andy Reid for his leadership, which gave them a boost to win that game on Sunday night. Coach Reid has a talented team but being a great coach means trusting his quarterback, and that he does. Mahomes runs the offense, and his abilities on the field are unheard of. Therefore, Mahomes will lead the Kansas City Chiefs to their 8th consecutive playoff season and another divisional title.
Chiefs big win against the Chargers
On Sunday the 20th, the Kansas City Chiefs walked into Vegas down 20-13 at halftime. Mahomes knew he had to figure out a way to win. Mahomes found Sky Moore for five receptions for 63 receiving yards. Moore is a rookie, and coming into the game against the Chargers; he had only had seven receptions. Mahomes and Kelce also had a day connecting for 3 receiving touchdowns, one of those touchdown passes were with a big one in the 4th quarter. The Kansas City Chiefs were relying on Mahomes with 1:46 remaining in the fourth quarter. When Mahomes went out in the 4th, one of those touchdowns passes to Kelce gave the Chiefs the lead, and then the defense got an interception that ended the game with around 20 seconds left.
Mahomes is a leader
Mahomes has been electric in the last few years and could easily be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Mahomes, in his 6th season of the NFL, has proven he is one of the best quarterbacks in the league right now. This season alone, Mahomes has thrown for 3,265 passing yards and has thrown for 28 touchdowns. Mahomes is averaging 326 yards per game which is an insane number of yards per game. Talking about Mahomes losing Hill, many people thought Mahomes was over with and that after his number one receiver was gone, he could not make changes. Changes have been made, and Mahomes is still the goat this year.
Will the Chiefs win the Super Bowl
The Chiefs have a great chance of winning the Super Bowl this year. Even after losing Mahomes number-one target Hill last season, he has relied on Kelce a lot this year. Kelce has not disappointed the Kansas City Chiefs organization this year with 69 receptions this year and 11 touchdowns. The Kansas City Chiefs are heading into Week 12, being 8-2 is huge for the Chiefs momentum these next few weeks. The next few weeks will show what the Chiefs are made of, playing the Rams and Week 12, and then taking on Burrow and the Bengals in week 13. These next two games will give these Kansas City Chiefs fans a look into how the rest of the season will play out.
