Emory Jones and the Gators hand the Volunteers a mandatory Loss in the Swamp

The Gators Handled business in the swamp Saturday night after a rocky start. The gators once again triumphed over Tennessee in their 17th time facing each other for the 16th time.

Number 10 ranked Florida edged over Tennessee 38-14, following what was a near upset against Number 1 ranked Alabama last week in their home turf. The Second half sealed the victory as the first was rather close.

With an outstanding 505 yard total, the gators looked amazing out there with 9 of 14 third downs. And this performance had the sold out Swamp stadium with over 90 thousand fans making their presence felt in the swamp. Florida’s offense once again outplayed the defense by a landslide and Coach Dan Mullen alongside the gators have to get a grip of things if they seek to add another National title to their Accolades.

Emory Jones is not going out, especially without a fight

With so much tension and pressure on Emory Jones recently he has really exceeded expectations and proved that he really deserves his spot as starting QB. Gators fans all across the nation were rooting for the backup Quarterback Anthony Richardson to start because of his impressive performances in short periods of time, but Jones has really pulled through in these past couple of games.

Can These Gators do what trask fell short of?

Emory, who is a running quarterback by nature, showed versatility in this insane display of skill by having 200 passing yards and a hundred running yards. Emory is the first quarterback since Florida Legend Tim Tebow in 2007 to do that. To also put the icing on the cake, memory did not throw a single interception against the volunteers.

Gators defense Lock Jaws to protect their home

The Gators Held the Tennessee offense to a measly 92 passing yards in the second. With Hendon Hooker Starting Quarterback for the Vols out with an injury it was truly a disastrous day on offense for the Vols. The Vols had 4.2 yards per play.

The Gators future Looks promising with the defense playing at the caliber that they are. If the gators are looking to defend the SEC East conference title they will need to play some of the best defense possible against Number 2 ranked Georgia who are rivals.

If The Gators keep playing at this rate they are serious contenders for that National Title.
