Best of Week 7 matchups - Headlined by Kentucky and Georgia!

Auburn Tigers at No. 17 Arkansas Razorbacks

Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. on CBS network in this SEC showdown between the Auburn Tigers and Arkansas Razorbacks. Both of these teams are coming off tough losses and will be fighting to get back to winning ways.

The Tigers feature a very good run defense and quarterback Bo Nix has come to life as of late. This is going to be a tough out for the Razorbacks, but playing at home gives them a slight advantage in this contest.

Pick: Arkansas Razorbacks -3.5

No. 12 Oklahoma State Cowboys at No. 25 Texas Longhorns

Everything played into the Longhorns favor as they were cruising in what looked like a win over the Oklahoma Sooners but a second half collapse ended all that hope this past weekend. Despite the emotional loss, the Longhorns are still the favorites against the Cowboys.

Over the past four matchups between these two teams each game has been decided by a touchdown or less. You can expect another exciting Big 12 contest as the Longhorns come away with a win and cover the spread.

Pick: Texas -5.5

No. 13 Ole Miss Rebels at Tennessee Volunteers

The nightcap in the SEC features a pretty good matchup between Ole Miss and Tennessee. Head coach Josh Heupel has the Vols coming off consecutive wins and dominant wins over South Carolina and Missouri of the last two weeks.

While the Vols are playing great, Ole Miss features a very dynamic offense and one of the best quarterbacks in the country in Matt Corral. This is Lane Kiffin’s return to Knoxville and that should make this one of the more exciting games on the day. Ole Miss is a 3.5 point favorite and while this game should be a shootout, expect them to cover on the day.

Pick: Ole Miss -3.5

No. 5 Alabama at Mississippi State

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN network between the No. 5 Crimson Tide and Miss State Bulldogs. All questions were answered on whether or not the Tide were the best team in college football in their loss this past weekend to Texas A&M.

Mississippi State is coming off a bye week and has had an extra week to prepare for this game. The Bulldogs are catching the Tide at the worst possible time as this will be locked in after a 3 point loss. There is a 0% chance Bama loses back to back games. Alabama dominates from the opening kick and covers the spread.

Pick: Alabama Crimson Tide -17.5

No. 11 Kentucky Wildcats at Georgia Bulldogs

This is one of the biggest games of the day as kickoff is set for 3;30 p.m on CBS network. Georgia has moved into the top spot in college football for the first time since 2008 and Kentucky is coming off one of their best starts in school history. Kentucky is dealing with some key injuries to the defense which is a bit of a set back.

Georgia has won 11 straight contests against the Wildcats in this series. On the season, the Bulldogs have only given up two offensive scores but they could have their hands full in this game. This is a big point spread at 23.5 for this type of game and while I expect Georgia to come away with a win, the Wildcats will keep it close and Georgia will fail to cover the spread.

Pick: Georgia wins but fails to cover
